Pact accomplishes this by strengthening local capacity, forging effective governance systems, and transforming markets into a force for development.Department OverviewPact seeks a Team Leader for the anticipated Bilateral Labour Intensive Stabilization Programme in Somalia, funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy. The programme will provide immediate benefits to communities in areas newly recovered from Al Shabaab, or in areas under threat by militant groups, as well as strengthen the ability of the government, including local authorities, to function and provide relevant services for Somali citizens.Position PurposeReporting to the Kenya Country Director, the Team Leader for the anticipated Bilateral Labour Intensive Somalia Stabilisation Programme will provide overall leadership, direction and guidance for programme implementation.Key ResponsibilitiesSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all other duties, as required.Basic RequirementsQualifications:
At least 10 years of senior-level management experience of projects and programs in governance and/or peacebuilding, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior-management position for an EU-funded or Royal Norwegian Embassy-funded programme.
Previous Team Leader experience, including experience of leading diverse teams, particularly on stabilisation programming in fragile states and/or Somalia, including within newly recovered areas within Somalia.
Fluency in English.
Education Requirements:
University degree required; Masters Degree in International Development, International Politics, Development Policy or related field preferred.
