Role Purpose: The Child Safeguarding Intern will carry out a various Child Safeguarding activities on a daily basis. The Child Safeguarding Intern roles and responsibilities include, filling Child Safeguarding documents and recording list of SCI employees, partner’s employee in Child Safeguarding trainings as well as Child Safeguarding awareness sessions for our beneficiaries.

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Location: Hargeisa

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum high school or Diploma of qualification in social, Human Resource in recognized institutes or university.
  • Computer skills especially in Ms Excel, spread sheets, Ms Word.
  • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Ability and willingness to learn scale up skills in child rights, child protection and child safeguarding
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Supportive personnel management style
  • Good command of English both written and spoken
  • Willingness to work in odd hours, go extra mile and travel in often difficult and insecure environments;
  • Commitment to Save the Children values
